Depart Atlanta for Frankfurt, evening flight. Vegetarian dinner and breakfast served enroute.

DAY 2 Tuesday, May 22 - Germany

Arrive in Frankfurt. Train transfer to hotel. Visit the Romer (Old Town) and Roman ruins. Tour Inauguration dinner. (Site related persons: Max Wertheimer, Comenius, Erik Erikson, Fredrich Froebel, Kurt Koffka, Wolfgang Kohler, Heinrich Pestalozzi, Wolfgang von Ratke(Ratich))

DAY 3 Wednesday, May 23 - Germany

Conversation with Prof Dr. Viktor Sarris, Johannes Goethe University, Frankfurt related to Wertheimer. Early afternoon to Worms to visit Luther's "Here I Stand" site and cathedral. Later afternoon to Heidelburg (Will visit sites related to: Martin Luther, Rudolph Agricola)

DAY 4 Thursday, May 24 - Germany

Walking tour of University of Heidelburg and town. Many major psychologists and educators have studied here during its 650 year history. Afternoon conversation with Prof. Dr. Karl Graumann, University of Heidelburg, related to Helmholtz and Wundt.(Will visit sites related to: Hermann von Helmholtz, Rudolph Agricola, Wilhelm Wundt, R.W. Bunsen, Comenius, Theodor Curtis, Kirchoff, Philipp Melanchthon, Victor Meyer, Heinrich Pestalozzi)

DAY 5 Friday, May 25 - Germany

Tram tour of sites related to Wundt around Heidelburg, including birthplace and early childhood. Free afternoon. (Will visit sites related to: Wilhelm Wundt)

DAY 6 Sabbath, May 26 - Germany

Early visit to Bishop's Palace at Bruchsal for insight into Reformation background, worship service in Wundt church at Heidelsheim, vespers in Melancthon Haus at Bretten, and evening arrival in Karlsruhe. (Will visit sites related to: Wilhelm Wundt, Johann Reuchlin, Philipp Melancthon)

DAY 7 Sunday, May 27 - Germany

Karlsruhe is the town of Erikson's childhood and youth. Walking tour of related sites, including the fascinating Transportation Museum. Free afternoon (Will visit sites related to: Erik Erikson, Hermann von Helmholtz, Wilhelm Wundt, Peter Blos, Philipp Melanchthon)

DAY 8 Monday, May 28 - Germany, Switzerland

Morning visit to Erikson Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic and conversation with Prof. Dr. Walter Frank. Depart for Basel and upon arrival visit sites related to E.G White and the SDA entrance into Europe. (Will visit sites related to: Rudolph Agricola, Carl Gustav Jung, John Nevins Andrews, J.H. Waggoner, E.G. White, Erasmus)

DAY 9 Tuesday, May 29 - Switzerland

Before leaving Basel we visit the Pharmacy Museum. Enroute to Zurich will visit Pestalozzi's Neuhof, now a youth development center, where lunch will be served. Continuing on to Zurich brief stops will be made at several other Pestalozzi sites. (Will visit sites related to: Heinrich Pestalozzi)

DAY 10 Wednesday, May 30 - Switzerland

Tour of Zurich the city of Zwingli, Pestalozzi, Rorschach, and Jung. In the afternoon a visit to the Jung Institute. (Will visit sites related to: Carl Gustav Jung, Hermann Rorschach, Wilhelm Wundt, Heinrich Pestalozzi, Jean Piaget, Franz Brentano, )

DAY 11 Thursday, May 31 - Switzerland

Free day in Zurich. Spend some time relaxing around the lovely Zurichsee. Take a tram ride and hike along Planetary Weg. Spend some time strolling down the main shopping esplanade looking for what else but watches!

DAY 12 Friday, June1 - Switzerland, Austria

Early start for Salzburg via Liechteinstein. Awesome drive through the Alps including a 6-mile tunnel.

DAY 13 Sabbath, June 2 - Austria

Sabbath services and lunch at Bogenhofen. During return to Salzburg we will visit the school where Gruber, composer of "Silent Night" christmas carol, taught. A few miles further will have vespers in the chapel where "Silent Night" was first sung. (Will visit sites related to: Franz Gruber, Joseph Mohr)

DAY 14 Sunday, June 3 - Austria

Today we experience the "Sound of Music" with a bicycle tour of Salzburg, including the REAL von Trapp house! In the afternoon will visit the Mozart birthhouse and museum. (Will visit sites related to: Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Sigmund Freud, Albert Einstein, Christian Doppler, Wolfgang Mozart)

DAY 15 Monday, June 4 - Austria

Leisure drive through the majestic Alps as we tour the outlying "Sound of Music" sites. At the "wedding church" town of Mondsee we will eat Fraulein Braun's Apple Strudel.

DAY 16 Tuesday, June 5 - Austria

Free day in Salzburg. We have an evening engagement at the Marionette Theater for the opera "The Magic Flute." Don't worry. If you don't like opera, you'll love this performance! (Will visit sites related to: Wolfgang Mozart, Tamino, Papageno, Sarastro, Pamina)

DAY 17 Wednesday, June 6 - Austria

Wake up late today after our night at the opera! The drive to Vienna will not take all day. It is a big city, but our hostel is on the edge of the city from which we will be approaching from Salzburg.

DAY 18 Thursday, June 7 - Austria

Full day today. Start off with a Freud tour ending up at his Vienna clinic, now the Freud Museum. During this tour will also visit the Strauss Museum. Late afternoon will visit the Medical Museum which includes the famous wax cadavers. Our day will close with an "Evening on the Danube" concert. (Will visit sites related to: Alfred Adler, Sigmund Freud, Franz Joseph Gall, Franz Brentano, Oskar Spiel, Carl Gustav Jung, Ludwig Beethoven, M.B. Czechowski, Paul Simmelweiss, Strauss family, etc.)

DAY 19 Friday, June 8 - Austria

Visit to the Narenturm the historical, and unique, psychiatric hospital. Prof. Dr. Walter Spiel will tell us about his father, Oskar Spiel, and Alfred Adler, who taught his father. Free afternoon.

DAY 20 Sabbath, June 9 - Austria

Fascinating visits to expand our understanding of and appreciation for biblical backgrounds as we visit the Ephesus Museum, Egypt Museum, and the Papyrus Museum. Vespers at the Memorial Cemetary after visiting graves of Mozart, Strauss, etc.

DAY 21 Sunday, June 10 - Austria

A guided tour of the magnificent Schonbrunn Palace. Free afternoon.

DAY 22 Monday, June 11 - Austria

Van tour of the area north of Vienna. Will include sites related to Freud (refreshments at one of his summer house provided by the current occupants), Beethoven, and Lorenz. High up on the Khalenburg, with Vienna spread out below, we will savor apricot and chocolate specialty dessert. (Will visit sites related to: Konrad Lorenz, Sigmund Freud, Ludwig Beethoven)

DAY 23 Tuesday, June 12 - Austria, Germany

Rather long drive today back to Germany and the city of Nurenburg. Arriving late afternoon we get settled in the castle, complete with moat, where we will spend the night. (Will visit sites related to: Philipp Melanchthon)

DAY 24 Wednesday, June 13 - Germany

Drive through the Thurinigen Forest to Jena. Early afternoon a walking tour of this university town and recent headquarters of Zeiss Optical. Spend the night in the "Black Bear Hotel" where Luther spent the night on his return to Wittenberg from his "friendly" captivity in the castle. (Will visit sites related to: Martin Luther, Philipp Melanchthon, Karl Volkmar Stoy, Johann Friedrich Herbart, Karl Zeiss)

DAY 25 Thursday, June 14 - Germany

Tram and walking tour of Leipzig with a focus on sites related to Wundt, the university where he taught, his house, laboratories, and grave. The tour ends at the Ice Palace where you may select your choice from lasagna, spaghetti, or pizza ice cream. Either is "out of this world." But if you are skeptical there is much more from which to choose. Late afternoon leave for Wittenberg. Will sleep in the castle portion of the "95 Theses" church. (Will visit sites related to: Wilhelm Wundt, Gustav Theodor Fechner, Johann Bernhard Basedow, August Hermann Francke, Oswald Kulpe, Philipp Melanchthon, Ernst Heinrich Weber, Tuiskon Ziller)

DAY 26 Friday, June 15 - Germany

Walking tour of Wittenberg and visit to Luther Museum before leaving for Berlin. On the way we stop at Helmholtz grave. (Will visit sites related to: Martin Luther, Philipp Melanchthon, Hermann von Helmholtz)

DAY 27 Sabbath, June 16 - Germany

Worship service at hostel. Late morning and early afternoon visit to the Pergamum and Babylon Museum to gain insight into both Daniel and Revelation. Vesper service at the grave of Johannes Muller. (Will visit sites related to: Daniel, Johannes Muller)

DAY 28 Sunday, June 17 - Germany

Walking tour, "Topography of Terror," which will include a visit to "Checkpoint Charlie" and the museum. Free afternoon. (Will visit sites related to: Adolf Hitler, Hermann Goering, Rudolf Hess, Josef Goebbels, Albert Speer)

DAY 29 Monday, June 18 - Germany

Visit Humboldt University and conversation with Prof. Dr. Lothar Sprung. Afternoon for preparations for early morning departure. Tour farewell dinner. (Will visit sites related to: Hermann von Helmholtz, Max Wertheimer, Wilhelm Wundt, Johannes Muller, Franz Brentano, Hermann Ebbinghaus, Kurt Koffka, Wolfgang Kohler)

DAY 30 Tuesday, June 19 - Germany

Transfer to the Berlin airport this morning for departure back to the US.
