Reasons to Go

Why would you be interested in going with the School of Education and Psychology on the Pioneers of Psychology tour? Here are some of the reasons:
Cost

The total cost for the tour comes to $1,995.00, plus tuition, which is discounted by about 2/3rds. Tour costs include airfare from Atlanta, accommodations, land transportation, and all meals as well as museum entrance and guided tour fees. There is a $200 deposit required at the time the application is accepted and balance of the tour costs by February 12, 2002. This is an outstanding opportunity for those interested in history of psychology and its founders, museums, exotic places, people and just plain travel.

Credit

Pioneers of Psychology Tour participants may choose to acquire two (2) hours of credit in the area of History and Systems of Psychology, Psychological Foundations of Educational Psychology, or Theories of Learning. Application of these credits will begin with introductory lessons available online in which a general overview of the history and theories of Learning and Psychology will be studied. What an exciting way to learn about the historical background of psychology in 15 days on location!

Travel

Boarding our flight in Atlanta, the tour will commence with touchdown at Munich, Germany. The site of Freud's "dreams revelation"will form the backdrop for a discussion of his emphasis on dreams. Informal activities will include a visit to Salzburg's Marionette Theater for the performance of "The Magic Flute." Time will be given for participants to explore on their own. The tour group will depart from Berlin. For more information on itinerary and complete tour activities view our "When" and "What" sections of this web site. Enjoy the web experience, but don't miss the real thing!
